The Child and Adult Safeguards Implementation Handbook is designed to provide tools to support DFAT staff and partners to meet their safeguarding obligations with respect to child protection and sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment.

Under Australia’s International Development Policy DFAT has committed to undertake an annual review of the quality and use of its evaluations.

DFAT will be holding a number of online information webinars over the coming months on working with DFAT on the Australian Development Program.

DFAT will shortly approach the market in November or December 2025 for a contractor to carry out an Independent Evaluation of the Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Infrastructure (KIAT). 

DFAT has approached the market seeking suppliers for the DEV+ Panel through a one-step procurement process published on AusTender.

The Australian Government’s response to the Senate Joint Standing Committee Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade report into supporting democracy in our region was tabled in Parliament on 2 September 2025. 

DFAT anticipates approaching the market for a managing contractor to implement a new DFAT-led investment on climate resilient agriculture – the Laos-Australia Agriculture Resilience Initiative (LAARI).
