Development Programming (PRD)

DFAT will shortly approach the market around August/September 2025 for a contractor to carry out an Independent Strategic Review. This procurement will be conducted through a one-step procurement process (a Request for Tender), which will be publicly advertised on the AusTender website when it is released to the market.

DFAT will be holding a number of online information webinars over the coming months on working with DFAT on the Australian Development Program.

Under Australia’s International Development Policy DFAT has committed to undertake an annual review of the quality and use of all evaluations listed on the Development Evaluation Plan. 

P4I is an Australian Government initiative, financed through Official Development Assistance, which commenced in January 2021. DFAT will shortly go to market for a managing contractor to implement Phase 2 of the Partnerships for Infrastructure program(P4I).

DFAT intends to approach the market for a managing contractor to implement the PNG Secondary Education Program (PSEP) investment. 

DFAT will go to market to establish a Development Assurance Services (DAS) Panel in the third quarter of 2025.

A key commitment under the International Development Policy is to publish an annual Performance of Australian Development Cooperation (PADC) report, reflecting our focus on accountability and our commitment to a world-class development program.

As part of the inaugural Vanuatu-Australia Business Week, DFAT will be holding the Vanuatu Big Meet on Wednesday, 12 March 2025.
