UNDP commissioned the mid-term evaluation of the SSPS project with DFAT reviewing the Terms of Reference and UNDP engaging an independent consultant. The evaluation reviewed project performance since July 2021.

In June 2021, the Australian government provided AUD 5 million to the Australian Red Cross to on-grant to IFRC and the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, to bolster Bangladesh’s preparedness for a COVID-19 crisis and to provide assistance should health systems fail. The purpose of this evaluation was to assess the relevance, effectiveness and efficiency of the investment.

The Australia-Papua New Guinea Economic Partnership (APEP) is the main facility under which Australia delivers economic development support to PNG. APEP is an eight-year (4+4) AU$200 million investment with an implementation period from 2022-2030. Phase 1 is currently due to finish in February 2026.

In November 2024, DFAT commissioned an independent evaluation of CRP to assess the overall performance of the CRP’s school rehabilitation component. The evaluation criteria included relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability to determine program performance against the end of program outcomes and identify best practice and recommendations.

The Elimination of Violence against Women and Children in Vietnam (EVAWC) program (AUD10 million, 2021-2025) was co-designed by UNFPA, UN Women and UNICEF, in consultation with relevant Government of Vietnam partners. It is implemented as a joint UN program by these three UN agencies.
