UNDP commissioned the mid-term evaluation of the SSPS project with DFAT reviewing the Terms of Reference and UNDP engaging an independent consultant. The evaluation reviewed project performance since July 2021.

The Pacific Recovery Economic Support (PRES) program provides high-quality technical advisory services to DFAT’s the Office of the Pacific (OTP) and contributes to economic analysis, policy and program development, program implementation and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL). 

In June 2021, the Australian government provided AUD 5 million to the Australian Red Cross to on-grant to IFRC and the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, to bolster Bangladesh’s preparedness for a COVID-19 crisis and to provide assistance should health systems fail. The purpose of this evaluation was to assess the relevance, effectiveness and efficiency of the investment. 

The Australian Government has committed to the design and delivery of a new Civil Society Partnerships Fund (CSPF) to address the challenges of shrinking civic space in the Indo-Pacific region.

The Australia-Papua New Guinea Economic Partnership (APEP) is the main facility under which Australia delivers economic development support to PNG. APEP is an eight-year (4+4) AU$200 million investment with an implementation period from 2022-2030. Phase 1 is currently due to finish in February 2026.

In November 2024, DFAT commissioned an independent evaluation of CRP to assess the overall performance of the CRP’s school rehabilitation component. The evaluation criteria included relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability to determine program performance against the end of program outcomes and identify best practice and recommendations. 

The Australia-World Bank Indonesia Partnership Phase 2 (ABIP2) is the continuation of the successful partnership established in 2020 through a consolidation of multiple Bank thematic trust funds. 

Partnerships for Infrastructure (P4I) is DFAT’s only Australian-led, region-wide ODA infrastructure program in Southeast Asia. It works with eight partner governments in the region and with ASEAN. 

Partnerships for Social Protection in the Pacific (P4SP) is an eight-year $36 million program, currently in its second phase.

The Elimination of Violence against Women and Children in Vietnam (EVAWC) program (AUD10 million, 2021-2025) was co-designed by UNFPA, UN Women and UNICEF, in consultation with relevant Government of Vietnam partners. It is implemented as a joint UN program by these three UN agencies.
