The Product Development Partnerships Fund has been established under the Australian Government's Health Security Initiative for the Indo-Pacific region. The Fund will be managed by the Indo-Pacific Centre for Health Security and will invest up to $75 million over five years, 2018 – 2022. The first phase of funding will support up to four PDPs with approximately AUD $10 -15 million per proposal for 3 years.
DFAT invites proposals from eligible Product Development Partnerships (PDPs) to submit applications for funding that focus on the development of diagnostics and therapeutics for TB and malaria and/or vector control tools for malaria and other high burden mosquito borne diseases in the Indo-Pacific region.
Applicants must use the Invitation to Submit an Activity Proposal template and submit all documents electronically via email before close of business 15 December 2017 to: chs@dfat.gov.au
PDPs are expected to submit a separate application for each proposal. A Competitive Grant Guidelines document is available below. It includes guidance on process and eligibility. In addition to the guidelines document, the Product Development Partnerships Fund, 2018-2022 Design Document should inform the development of proposals.
The exact size of each grant will be determined on the merits of each proposal.
