On 21 November 2025, CPTPP Ministers agreed to commence an accession process for Uruguay. DFAT invited submissions from interested individuals and groups on the opportunities and impacts of Uruguay’s potential accession to the CPTPP. The following submissions were received:

Submissions received on the TPP Agreement

The process for engaging stakeholders on the CPTPP was an extension of the Government's efforts to bring the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) into force. This built upon the extensive consultations undertaken in relation to the original TPP which commenced in 2008.

The TPP Agreement negotiations concluded in October 2015. Below are the public submissions received during negotiations.
