The Australia – Solomon Islands Development Partnership Plan 2024–2029 (DPP) translates into action the development partnership priorities Australia shares with Solomon Islands. 

DFAT intends to approach the market via Open Tender on AusTender in late June 2025 for a design team to undertake a design of the University of the South Pacific – Australia Partnership (2026-32). 

This document confirms joint understandings between the Governments of Tuvalu and Australia on implementation and interpretation of the Falepili Union. Both Governments commit to implement the Falepili Union in line with this document, including where relevant in interpretation of the Treaty.

Since 2020 Australia and Fiji's economic partnership has focused on fiscal stabilisation and economic reform – primarily through general budget support. Fiji's evolving economic circumstances mean our program is also in transition. 

Australia is partnering with Fiji to respond to the significant human development challenges it faces. We will continue to work closely with a wide range of partners, including UN agencies, multilateral and regional organisations, and CSOs that bring valuable expertise and experience in these sectors.

The Australia – Kingdom of Tonga Development Partnership Plan 2024–2029 (DPP) sets out the shared priorities of Australia and Tonga’s development partnership. The DPP outlines our agreed development objectives, ways for working together and how progress will be monitored.

Australia will continue working in partnership with Fiji to support its regional ambitions, prioritise Pacific-led solutions to Pacific issues and support Fiji to manage the impacts of climate change. This objective encompasses our support for the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF), including the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent and the Boe Declaration on Regional Security.

Australia is committed to defence, police, border and security engagement that fosters a peaceful, secure and resilient Pacific, for the mutual benefit of both Australia and Fiji. Continuing to train, exercise and deploy together will help Australia and Fiji meet the expectation of PIF leaders that the Pacific region can manage regional security challenges.

Australia will work in partnership with the Government of Fiji to provide opportunities for Fijians and Australians to connect. Strong and dynamic people-to-people links are the bedrock of our partnership.

In 2023, Australia and Fiji renewed and elevated our Vuvale Partnership following consultation across the Australian and Fijian governments on agreed priorities. This DPP articulates how Australia will contribute to these shared priorities.
