DFAT intends to approach the market via Open Tender on AusTender in late June 2025 for a design team to undertake a design of the University of the South Pacific – Australia Partnership (2026-32). The current phase of the partnership (2019-2025) is valued at AUD$93million. DFAT intends to commence the design period in August 2025; it will run for a period of up to 12 months.

The objective of the design is to capture DFAT and USP requirements for the partnership and ensure the design meets DFAT design quality standards, including responding to selected recommendations from the independent evaluation of the USP–Australia Partnership (2019-25). DFAT is seeking applications from a wide pool of applicants.
