Australia Awards scholarships in Singapore are a flagship initiative of the Australia–Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, reflecting our countries’ shared commitment to education, leadership, and regional cooperation. Announced alongside the renewal of the Partnership in October 2025, the scholarships recognise Singapore’s role as a regional hub while deepening people-to-people links between Australia and Singapore.

We, the Governments of Australia and Singapore (the “Participants”), have together reached the following mutual understandings and jointly developed this Cross-Border Electricity Trade (CBET) Framework (the “Framework”)

Our enhanced CSP will better prepare our economies and societies for challenges and opportunities now and in the future and extends our cooperation further to engage effectively with our regional partners.

Today, the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA) Upgrade enters into force between Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Laos PDR, and Brunei Darussalam. 

The second grant round under the Singapore-Australia Go-Green Co-Innovation Program (GGCIP) is now open for applications, closing on 14 November 2024.

Senator the Hon Tim Ayres will travel to Singapore and Malaysia to lead a delegation on Australia’s first-ever Business Mission as part of the Australia-Southeast Asia Business Exchange program.

A virtual information session on the Singapore-Australia Go-Green Co-Innovation Program (GGCIP) will be held on 7 September. This session will focus on the application process for Australian applicants, including eligibility and assessment criteria, and the proposed timeline.
