INKLUSI is an 8-year investment which has two inter-connected end of program outcomes (EOPOs). EOPO 1 is focused on direct results for marginalised people (e.g. improved access to services, improved livelihoods), achieved by partner CSOs within the scope of their INKLUSI-funded initiatives.

This week Senator the Hon Penny Wong, Minister for Foreign Affairs will travel to Indonesia to participate in the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Bali.

Through investment in knowledge sector actors and institutions and their interactions within the knowledge ecosystem in Indonesia, KSI succeeded in achieving all 5 of its End-of-Program Outcomes.

The Foreign Ministers of Australia and the Republic of Indonesia co-chaired a Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of the Steering Group of the Bali Process on People Smuggling, Trafficking in Persons and Related Transnational Crime.

The design and implementation of the BANGGA Papua program, in light of the geographic and infrastructure constraints facing Papua province, is instructive as an innovative example of inclusive social protection, not only for Indonesia, but also for other countries implementing social protection programs in remote and challenging contexts.

DFAT commissioned an Independent Strategic Review (ISR) of the above 'knowledge to policy' (or knowledge sector) investments to provide a high-level assessment of the programs' performance and to inform any future Australian investment in the knowledge sector. The ISR report presents important and useful findings on the achievements of over a decade of Australian support to the knowledge sector, while also identifying opportunities and challenges for any future investment.

Today I announce the appointment of Ms Fiona Hoggart as Australia's next Consul-General in Surabaya.
