The Hon Anthony Albanese MP, Prime Minister of Australia and Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam decide to establish a Comprehensive Partnership between the Commonwealth of Australia and Brunei Darussalam.

Australia is invested, engaged and committed to Southeast Asia. The Australian Government has made deepening our engagement with the region a priority.

The Food Pact will seek to increase trade in high quality food products, support Singapore as a transhipment hub, stimulate Singaporean investment into Australia, and facilitate cooperation on global food security issues.

Implementation Update of the Singapore-Australia Green Economy Agreement.

Australia and Chile intend to work together on matters relating to the evolving practice of International Investment Agreements, including Investment Protection and Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS), as part of the ongoing review and implementation of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans–Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the Australia – Chile Free Trade Agreement. 

Ministers and representatives of Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Viet Nam, members of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, and the United Kingdom met virtually on 31st March 2023 (JST).

We acknowledge the breadth of our partnership and commit to strengthen cooperation through strategic alignment in our diplomatic, development and economic engagement across five priority areas:

• climate and disaster resilience
• security cooperation
• economic growth and partnerships
• human and social development (including in the areas of health, education, gender, disability and social protection)
• people to people linkages (including through sport).
