Global volunteering supports locally-led change and the realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals

The Classic Wallabies Indigenous Exchange was part of the Australian Volunteers Program’s efforts to increase the opportunities for Indigenous Australians to be involved in volunteering.

One of the expected outcomes of the Australian Volunteers Program is that Australian volunteers gain professionally and personally, and are able to promote greater cultural awareness and build stronger connections between partner countries and Australia. 

The management response responds to a number of recommendations aimed at strengthening work in the impact areas, including through strategic partnerships and communication of outcomes in the impact areas.

The Global Program Strategy (2024-27) sets out the strategic direction, guiding principles and priorities for the Australian Volunteers Program.

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Framework (MELF) is the DFAT performance monitoring system for the Australian Volunteers Program.
