Solomon Islands Infrastructure Program Mid Term Review

Summary of publication

Overall, the Mid Term Review found that the program is progressing well in its delivery towards End of Program Outcome (EOPO) One (Solomon Islands government and industry have enhanced sustainable capacities to plan, manage, finance, construct and maintain critical economic infrastructure) but more needs to be done to demonstrate delivery towards EOPO Two (there is a legacy of high profile, resilient and accessible infrastructure assets in a range of sectors across the country that supports inclusive economic growth).

The review found that cross cutting themes of climate change, disaster resilience, gender equality, disability and social inclusion have been integrated into program delivery well.
The review provided ten recommendations to be considered for Phase 2.

DFAT Management Response

DFAT accepts the ten recommendations put forward in the report. We are considering the most appropriate modality through which to delivery future phases of SIIP. We are working with the managing contractor and across DFAT to implement the recommendations.
