Are applications assessed on a rolling basis?
No. Australia Awards Scholarship applications are not assessed on a rolling basis.
All applications are reviewed after the closing date, and the timing of your submission does not influence the assessment outcome.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to take the time needed to prepare a thorough, complete, and high‑quality application. The program is highly competitive, and well‑developed submissions are more likely to demonstrate the required academic merit, professional experience, and alignment with priority areas.
Submitting early is welcome, but it does not provide any advantage over applications submitted closer to the deadline - as long as they are lodged before the closing date.
Do I need to contact universities directly?
No. Applicants do not need to contact Australian universities when applying for an Australia Awards Scholarship. If selected, the Country teams will work with institutions on placement and admission processes.
Applicants should only contact institutions if they want general information about courses, entry requirements, or academic structures.
