DFAT intends to approach the market for a managing contractor to implement the second phase of the South Asia Regional Infrastructure and Connectivity program (SARIC2). SARIC2 will provide technical assistance for the development of a pipeline of key energy, transport and connectivity infrastructure activities and build the capacity of infrastructure officials and professionals in the region by providing them with skills and expertise to develop and manage quality infrastructure.
The managing contractor (an implementation unit) will provide training, monitoring, evaluation and communications support. The implementation unit would also mange a flexible fund to ensure SARIC meets the changing needs in the region.
It is anticipated that DFAT will approach the market in the first quarter of 2026. The proposed procurement will be published on AusTender and updates on the status of the procurement can be found on the Development Procurement Pipeline.
