Australian Support for Pacific HIV Action (ASPHA) – call for proposals

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) requests Activity Proposals for funding with eligible partners under the Australian Support for Pacific HIV Action (ASPHA) initiative.

ASPHA is a $48 million initiative over six years (2025-26 to 2030-31) to support Pacific countries implement effective national programs to prevent the spread of HIV and related co-infections. Minister for Foreign Affairs Senator the Hon Penny Wong announced the initiative on 27 November 2025.

This call for proposals requests proposals from eligible non-government partners or consortia to implement activities contributing to ASPHA end of program outcomes in the period July 2026 to December 2028, with potential for extension.

Please review the Call for Proposals – Guidelines, Eligibility and Selection Criteria before preparing submissions.  Complete proposals should be submitted to: chs@dfat.gov.au

The closing date for submissions is 11:59pm AEDT Sunday 22 February 2026.

Please note submissions that are incomplete, do not meet eligibility and selection criteria or are received after the closing date will not be considered.

Information session, questions and answers

DFAT will hold a virtual information/ briefing session at 11:00 am AEDT on Tuesday 20 January 2026. Expressions of interest in joining the virtual information/ briefing session and questions relating to the Call for Proposals should be directed to chs@dfat.gov.au.

DFAT will accept questions until 8 February 2026 and provide responses by 13 February 2026.
