The inaugural UK-Australia Joint Financial Regulatory Forum took place on 24 September 2025.

Alongside the OECD 2025 Ministerial Council Meeting held in Paris, Australian Minister for Trade and Tourism, Senator the Honourable Don Farrell and UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade, the Rt Hon Jonathan Reynolds MP, met on 3 June 2025, for the second meeting of the Australia-United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement Joint Committee.

The first Joint Committee Meeting of the Australia–United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement was held virtually on 11 June 2024.

As part of the Innovation chapter of the Australia-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA), Australia and the United Kingdom held the inaugural Strategic Innovation Dialogue in London on 8-9 April 2024.

The agreement is a gold standard trade deal that delivers benefits for all Australians – including manufacturers, workers, farmers, tradies, innovators, families, and students.

On 17 November 2022, the Australian Government Joint Standing Committee on Treaties (JSCOT) handed down its report on the Australia-United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement (A-UKFTA). The committee made two recommendations.

The Australian Government tabled the text of the Australia-United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement (A-UKFTA), the side-letters, and accompanying National Interest Analysis (NIA) in the Australian Parliament on 8 February 2022.
