The Australian Government is supporting the Government of Vanuatu (GoV) through its Vanuatu Education Support Program (VESP) to undertake long-term education reforms. 

This report presents the findings of an independent mid-term review of Phase 2 of the Vanuatu Australia Policing and Justice Program (VAPJP). VAPJP Phase 2 is the second four-year phase of an eight-year program (2016-2024).

Vanuatu Australia Health Partnership (VAHP) is Australia’s 15-year (2019-2034) investment in the Vanuatu health sector. VAHP commenced in 2019 with the first 5-year phase (2019-2024). The partnership was designed to support Vanuatu’s Ministry of Health (MoH) to effectively deliver the health components of the National Sustainable Development Plan (NSDP 2016-2030).

The Australian Government is supporting the Government of Vanuatu through its Vanuatu Education Support Program (VESP) to undertake long-term education reforms. A key focus of these reforms is the rollout of a new national curriculum in conjunction with the National Language Policy (2012), intended to improve teaching quality and student learning outcomes for students in the primary and early secondary years of education.

The Vanuatu 2022-23 COVID-19 Development Program Progress Report is the final progress report against the Vanuatu COVID-19 Development Response Plan. The report provides a summary of program achievements and progress against performance indicators.

The Australian Government will provide an additional $8 million (VT 655 million) to support the Vanuatu Government with its ongoing response to Tropical Cyclones Judy and Kevin.

The Australian Government will today deploy HMAS Canberra following a request from the Government of Vanuatu.

The Australian Government will deploy a rapid assessment team to survey cyclone damage at the request of the Government of Vanuatu.
