This independent assessment reviews the performance of the Ministry of Health and Medical Services of Solomon Islands and Sector Wide Approach (SWAp) partners' performance against the 2017 Health Sector Support Program performance indicators. The findings form the basis of Australia's Performance Linked Funding to the Ministry.

This independent mid-term review assessed the performance of the Education Sector Program Skills for Economic Growth Component and is accompanied by the Management Response. The findings will inform Australia's current and future programming in the Solomon Islands TVET education sector.

This year was characterised by a succession of events resulting in high humanitarian need. Australia Assists response to these events was done in the shadows of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic that continued to strain national health systems and disrupt global supply chains.

DFAT may have a requirement for a Contractor to manage a third phase of the Australian Water Partnership, DFAT’s global water resource management program.

This independent mid-term review assessed the relevance, efficiency and effectiveness of the Solomon Islands Growth Program (SIGP) as a consolidated program of activities. The findings will inform Australia's current and future programming in the Solomon Islands' economic growth sector. A Management Response will be published by the end of January 2019.

The independent review found that the PRIM program has delivered substantial achievements against all three key outcomes. Importantly, the Government of Indonesia in 2019 launched its own subnational roads program (Program Hibah Jalan Daerah or PHJD) modelled after PRIM and funded by Indonesia’s national budget.

The ISR found that PRISMA-2 is performing effectively and on track to achieve its end-of-program outcome, noting that efforts towards systemic change, policy influence and ensuring long-term sustainability of its existing results should be priorities for the remainder of the program.

Gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls is a key objective of Australia’s development program, including through an 80 per cent performance target to ensure Australia’s development investments effectively address gender equality, and a requirement that investments over $3 million have a gender equality objective.
