The independent evaluation assesses the performance of the Technical Disaster Risk Reduction in PNG Program. The evaluation was undertaken from August 2022 to November 2022. This reports presents the findings and recommendations for future partnerships between Geoscience Australia and PNG technical agencies.

The key purpose of the review was to inform investment improvement in the sector with secondary purposes of providing accountability in terms of VESP II’s performance and consolidating information that could provide an evidence-base for decision-making in the sector. The review was also used to inform Australia’s decision on whether continue to continue the current VESP II delivery modality and expand the phase. VESP II has now been extended to 2026.

The Pacific Insurance and Climate Adaptation Programme aims to improve the financial preparedness and resilience of Pacific governments and communities against climate change and natural hazards through the development and implementation of innovative and inclusive Climate Disaster Risk Financing and Insurance instruments. This report was undertaken to assess the effectiveness of the program’s first phase.

In assessing the performance of DFAT’s support to address IUU fishing from 2017, the evaluation focused on relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, coherence, impact, sustainability and gender and social inclusion.

The purpose of this review was to assist UNCDF and key partners in understanding the program's relevance, efficiency, gender mainstreaming, coherence, effectiveness, and sustainability; assess progress towards programme objectives and results in the inception phase; identify major challenges, factors that may have affected implementation, key lessons learned, and other emerging opportunities for future programming.
