Australia strongly supports Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. We have contributed over AUD 1.7 billion towards important defence, economic, energy and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine in response to Russia's illegal and immoral invasion on 24 February 2022. Australia's objective, along with our partners, is to empower Ukraine to achieve a just, fair and lasting peace.

Tuvalu, formerly known as the Ellice Islands, is located midway between Hawaii and Australia in the South Pacific Ocean. It comprises nine islands (four reef islands and five coral atolls).

Türkiye and Australia have longstanding friendly ties, cooperating across a range of issues including counter terrorism and organised crime. 

Australia and Trinidad and Tobago formally established diplomatic relations in 1974.

The Kingdom of Tonga is a Polynesian country that lies to the south of Samoa, southeast of Fiji and north east of New Zealand. The Tongan archipelago is comprised of 176 islands, 36 of which are inhabited by a population of approximately 106,000.

Australia and Thailand have longstanding and deep connections. Formal diplomatic relations commenced in 1952.

Australia has a substantial relationship with Taiwan including trade and investment, education, tourism and people-to-people ties.

Switzerland country brief. Australia and Switzerland established diplomatic ties in 1961. Switzerland has operated an Embassy in Canberra without interruption since 1961.

Sweden is a constitutional monarchy where the monarch has primarily ceremonial and representative duties.
