The 41st session of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) is a United Nations process that considers the human rights record of each UN Member State. It is a mechanism of the UN Human Rights Council.

Almost 30 years after the adoption of the Vienna Declaration, we take this opportunity to reaffirm the commitment made at that time by the international community to achieve the full respect of the equal condition and human rights of women.

This Group of Friends is a state-led platform designed to spur discussions in different multilateral fora towards the elimination of sexual harassment as well as sexual exploitation and abuse.

The Internet and new technologies have brought many ground-breaking opportunities: they connect the world, facilitate information sharing, improve access to knowledge and the free circulation of ideas. During the pandemic they allowed us to stay connected and better cope with new challenges together.
