We thank the High Commissioner and her Office for her new comprehensive report, which showcases the self-isolation of the authorities of Nicaragua from cooperation with human rights mechanisms.

We, the States subscribing to this statement and representing different regional and legal traditions, are united by the decision to extend standing invitations to special procedures mandate holders of the Human Rights Council and to honour them.

The undersigned States wish to express their views on the issue of equal participation in political and public affairs.
