Summary of Publication

In the second half of 2021, DFAT brought together a Temporary Skills Shortage (TSS) working group to recommend ways to enhance Pacific Islander utilisation of the Temporary Skills Shortages (TSS) visa or other visa pathways. Professor Stephen Howes and Dr Richard Curtain, from the Development Policy Centre at the Australian National University, authored a paper in consultation with stakeholders (including industry and other experts) called Increasing Pacific Access to Australia’s TSS Visa – Approach Paper.
