Summary
In March 2023 KONEKSI launched a pilot call for proposals for collaborative research grants between Australian and Indonesian organisations. The Government of Australia and Government of Indonesian jointly agreed on the priority theme of Environment and Climate Change (ECC) incorporating a focus on policy- and innovation-relevant research related to climate change mitigation, climate change adaptation, and climate change resilience. The selection process for recipients of the ECC collaborative research grants was highly competitive. Of 610 applications received, KONEKSI shortlisted 105which were invited to proceed to Stage 2 and submit a full grant application. At the final stage, 38 projects were selected as recipients of the collaborative research grants based on an independent assessment by expert reviewers.
