Aus4Innovation (A4I) is a 10-year (2018-2028), AUD $33.5 million strategic partnership between Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology (MST). It aims to strengthen Vietnam’s national innovation system to support an innovation-led, inclusive and sustainable growth trajectory.
A Mid-Term Review (MTR) of Phase 2 found that Aus4Innovation remains highly relevant and well positioned to support Vietnam's rapidly evolving science, technology and innovation agenda. The review confirmed that the program is making strong progress towards its intended outcomes, including strengthening institutional capacity, improving coordination among innovation stakeholders, and fostering more connected and adaptive innovation ecosystems. The review also identified opportunities to maximise impact during the remainder of the program.
