South Asia Regional Aid Program Performance Report 2016-17

Summary of publication

The South Asia Regional program's total ODA expenditure in 2016-17 was $16.34 million. The South Asia Regional program seeks to promote stability, economic growth and regional cooperation through two inter-related objectives focussed on: (i) water, agriculture, food and energy; and (ii) infrastructure connectivity and trade facilitation. Through these two objectives, the program supports technical assistance, analysis, research, advocacy and policy reform. Promoting gender equality is a key focus of the program.

This report summarises the performance of Australia's aid program in the South Asia region against its two objectives.
