Whole of government

Delivery of the Australian aid program is a whole-of-government effort which harnesses specific experience, skills and knowledge across a range of Australian Government agencies to help reduce global poverty and improve prosperity and stability in our region.

Other Government Departments delivering Australian Official Development Assistance include:

  • The Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research, which works to improve the productivity and profitability of the agricultural sector in the Indo-Pacific region through international agricultural partnerships
  • The Australian Federal Police, which undertake activities in the region aimed at establishing, developing and monitoring peace, stability and security.

The department also works closely with other government agencies on a range of initiatives to implement and enhance the effectiveness and transparency of the aid program.
