(1) We expect British Commonwealth members will support United
States - Swedish amendment (see our Assembly 324 [2] paragraph 2).

Item will probably be reached at Plenary session tomorrow evening.

(2) Following instructions in your telegram under reference we
propose to support United States - Swedish amendment but if that
fails to abstain from voting against French-Mexican resolution.

jurisdiction issue and we would appreciate urgent instructions
whether you wish us to make any statement on this aspect of the
