405 War Cabinet Minute

Minute 358 MELBOURNE, 19 June 1940

AUSTRALIAN LEGATION AT TOKYO

War Cabinet was of the view that immediate action should be taken
to arrange an Australian Legation at Tokyo. The importance was
emphasized of taking this step before the international situation
deteriorated further to the disadvantage of the British Empire.
