Protection of Refugees with Disabilities in Camp Situations—Annual Report 2012

Summary

This is the Annual Report for 2012 for the Sydney Centre for International Law initiative 'Protection of Refugees with Disabilities in Camp Situations'.

Description

This is the first annual report for the initiative 'Protection of Refugees with Disabilities in Camp Situations', which is managed by the Sydney Centre for International Law. This initiative is assessing the extent to which refugee camp processes and practices are sensitive to the vulnerabilities, needs, and rights of refugees with disabilities. The project is also identifying shortcomings in such procedures and recommending standards for assisting, protecting, and resettling refugees with disabilities.

Highlights from the annual report include a full description of work that has taken place in 2012, such as the field trips and data analysis undertaken, and provides an outline of activities for 2013.
