Summary
Description
The report recommends that PNG's Technical Vocational Training system (TVET) should support quality in learning and graduates who adequately meet labour market needs. The review found that the private sector is out performing the public sector in technical and vocational training.
To revitalise the public TVET institutions, very large investments in equipment and infrastructure are required, and technical teachers need much more training and better support. More importantly, the TVET sector needs significant administrative and managerial reforms.
