Summary of publication
This report summarises the progress of Australia's East Asia Regional Aid Program from July 2013 to June 2014.
In 2013–14 Australian Official Development Assistance delivered through the East Asia Regional Aid Program was $81.4 million. The program seeks to address trans-boundary issues through long-term investments, targeting priorities best dealt with through regional cooperation and strong regional organisations. Objectives of the 2013-14 program were to:
- strengthen regional economic integration
- respond to trans-boundary development challenges, including trafficking of persons, natural disasters and the spread of communicable diseases, and
- improve the capacity of regional organisations to address agreed priority development challenges.
