Summary of publication
The Climate and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Guidance Note is an operational resource for Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) staff who are responsible for designing and managing aid investments. The Guidance Note supports DFAT staff to assess whether risks associated with climate change and/or disasters have the potential to undermine aid program goals and to explore what strategies can be adopted to prevent, mitigate or adapt those risks. The Guidance note will also familiarise external stakeholders with the steps DFAT is taking to mainstream climate action and disaster risk reduction into Australia's aid program and enable them to work alongside us more effectively.
