Business opportunities
The Investment Design for the Investing in Women Initiative in South-East Asia is provided for the information of the market and prospective tenderers. Women's economic empowerment is a priority for the Australian Government and the Investing in Women Initiative will work with the private sector to achieve the following outcomes:
- More businesses achieve gender equity in their workplaces
- Impact Investment in women SMEs has increased
- National policy makers and regulators remove barriers to women's economic empowerment
- Public attitudes are more supportive of women's economic empowerment
This proposed investment will focus on Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines and Burma. This investment design proposes a four year program (2015/16 to 2018/19) with an option to extend for a further four years.
Attached is the draft investment design documentation. Publication of the Request for Tender (RFT) is imminent, and potential bidders should watch AusTender for release.
