Australia and WTO Dispute Settlement

On 16 July 1997, Australia sought consultations with
India.� New Zealand, USA, Canada,
Switzerland joined the consultations as third parties.� A mutually agreed solution was notified to
the WTO on 17 March 1998.� Under this,
India committed to remove quantitative restrictions on a range of products according
to an agreed timetable.
