At the Indonesia-Australia Annual Leaders' Meeting in May 2025, Leaders acknowledged the fifth anniversary of IA-CEPA and reaffirmed it was timely to commence a review to ensure IA-CEPA remained fit for purpose and bolstered economic resilience. Article 21.5 of the IA-CEPA mandates the Parties to periodically undertake a General Review of the Agreement.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) invited submissions from stakeholders to inform the IA-CEPA General Review. Submissions closed on 31 March 2026, and the following submissions were received. Contributors have given their consent to be identified and/or for their submissions to be published.
