The UAE CEPA’s commercially significant commitments will create export opportunities for business by eliminating tariffs on over 99 per cent of Australian goods exports to the UAE and 100 per cent of UAE imports to Australia.

The Australia-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) contains Australia's inaugural Indigenous chapter in a free trade agreement (Chapter 17), titled Indigenous Trade and Investment Economic Cooperation.

Alongside the OECD 2025 Ministerial Council Meeting held in Paris, Australian Minister for Trade and Tourism, Senator the Honourable Don Farrell and UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade, the Rt Hon Jonathan Reynolds MP, met on 3 June 2025, for the second meeting of the Australia-United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement Joint Committee.
