The Australian Government welcomes today’s entry into force of the Australia-India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA). ECTA underscores the Government’s commitment to delivering opportunities to diversify trade that are commercially meaningful for Australian businesses.

Ms Bronte Moules, a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, has been appointed as Australia’s inaugural Ambassador for Human Rights. 

Ms Minoli Perera has been appointed as Australia’s next Ambassador to Zimbabwe. 

Ms Sonya Koppe has been appointed as Australia’s next High Commissioner to Trinidad and Tobago. 

Dr Ralph King has been appointed as Australia’s next Ambassador to Israel. 

Mr Richard Rodgers has been appointed as Australia’s next Ambassador to Croatia. 

Ms Phoebe Smith has been appointed as Australia’s next High Commissioner to the Cook Islands. 

Ms Sophie Davies has been appointed as Australia’s next Ambassador to Brazil. 

Ms Stephanie Copus Campbell has been appointed as Australia’s next Ambassador for Gender Equality.
