Australian embassies and diplomats regularly host functions that draw attendance from diverse, influential stakeholders as a core part of diplomacy and advancing Australia’s policies priorities and interests internationally.

This certification takes into consideration the letter issued by the Independent Communications Committe. It also takes into consideration advice and evidence provided by officials within the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade with responsibility for the design, development and implementation of the Smartraveller campaign (Phase 7).

Professor Jacqueline Peel and Professor Shiri Krebs have been appointed as DFAT’s Visiting Legal Fellows for 2024-2025. The Visiting Legal Fellow Program encourages greater dialogue between the department and academia, including emerging international legal issues.
