Australia provides funding to the United Nations Trade and Development (UNCTAD) E-commerce and Digital Economy (ECDE) Programme, which aims to enhance inclusive and sustainable development gains from e-commerce and the digital economy in developing countries, particularly Least Developed Countries (LDCs). The Programme reflects UNCTAD’s three pillars of work (research and analysis, consensus-building, and technical cooperation) and synergies between these.

This report contains the findings of the independent end-of-program evaluation of the Australia Volunteers Program (the program), a ten-year (FY 2017–2027) $260 million program.

The Tonga Australia Resilient Communities Program (TARCP) is a new five-year partnership with Mainstreaming of Rural Development Innovation (MORDI) to strengthen the resilience and economic prosperity of 122 rural communities across Tonga.

Visits are generally considered official where there is a bilateral meeting with – or invitation from – a Commonwealth minister or similar.

The Australian Government’s response to the Senate Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade References Committee report, Funding for public research into foreign policy issues, was tabled in Parliament on 5 December 2024. The response agrees with 4 recommendations, agrees in-principle with 2 recommendations and notes 2 recommendations. The Government recognises and appreciates the work of the Committee.

Australia’s new International Disability Equity and Rights Strategy outlines how Australia will integrate disability equity across our international engagement on foreign policy, international development, trade policy, humanitarian assistance, disaster risk reduction and climate action.

Due to Canada’s contribution concluding on 30 September 2024, the International Labour Organization commissioned an independent evaluation of TRIANGLE in ASEAN from January to June 2024.
