From April 28 to May 2, the Quad partners convened at the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in Honolulu, Hawaii for a Tabletop Exercise, a simulation to launch the Quad Indo-Pacific Logistics Network.

As part of continuing improvements to PAX, the Australian Sanctions Office will be introducing a new application form for a sanctions permit. Due to technical limitations, information in applications that were submitted on the existing form cannot be carried across to the new form format. 

We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the peoples of Myanmar and Thailand following the earthquake that struck central Myanmar on March 28, 2025.

Australia has endorsed the Call for Action to Strengthen Respect for International Humanitarian Law and Principled Humanitarian Action.

Australia in the World: 2025 Snapshot focuses on a key element of our national power: our foreign policy.  It explains how we can protect Australia’s security, stability and prosperity at this time of growing uncertainty: focusing on our region, where our interests are most at stake; investing not only in traditional but also in more diverse relationships; and upholding international rules that protect us all.

The MoU, which is an update of a previous MoU signed in 2001, includes a practical plan that outlines collaboration activities, including bilateral education visits and best practice inspection resources.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs (the Minister) has by legislative instrument designated persons and entities for targeted financial sanctions and declared persons for travel bans (together, 'listed') in accordance with item 6A of regulation 6 (the Russia Criteria) of the Autonomous Sanctions Regulations 2011 (the Regulations).
