The eighth round of negotiations of the Australia-European Union (EU) Free Trade Agreement took place on 14-25 September.

On August 05, 2020, the Ministers and Senior Officials representing Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, and Viet Nam met virtually on the occasion of the Third Meeting of the CPTPP Commission, hosted by Mexico.

The 31st Regional  Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Trade Negotiating Committee (TNC)  meeting was held on 9 July 2020 via video conference.

The first round of negotiations on the Australia-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA) was held from 29 June to 10 July.  Australia and the UK expressed a shared ambition for achieving a comprehensive and ambitious agreement.
