Papua New Guinea-Australia Transition to Health (PATH) Program Mid-Term Review and Management Response

Summary of Publication

The Papua New Guinea-Australia Transition to Health (PATH) Program is a five-year, $200 million program, with an optional three-year extension. Through PATH, Australia aims to work collaboratively with the Government of Papua New Guinea to improve coverage of essential, inclusive, quality health services.

The purpose of this Mid-Term Review (MTR), covering August 2020 to December 2023, was to assess PATH’s progress towards achieving program outcomes, and provide recommendations to strengthen the Program, with particular focus on program relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability. The report made recommendations again six key review questions to inform future direction of the program, which are covered in the management response document below.
