Australia Indonesia Partnership for Health Transformation / Kemitraan Indonesia Australia untuk Transformasi Kesehatan (KITA SEHAT) is Australia’s flagship health investment in Indonesia, delivered over eight years with a value of up to AUD 100 million. The program supports Indonesia’s health system transformation agenda by strengthening health policy and governance, improving system enablers such as health workforce, advancing primary health services with a focus on stunting prevention, and reinforcing health security. The design document outlines the rationale for the investment, intended outcomes, and implementation arrangements between the Government of Australia and Indonesia.
The program builds on lessons from Australia and Indonesia’s long-standing cooperation in the health sector, including the Australia-Indonesia Health Security Partnership (AIHSP), while responding to current national challenges and priorities. It works at both national and selected subnational levels, incorporating public sector partnerships, implementation research, and a health emergency response support capability. The program emphasises gender equality, disability and social inclusion, while also contributing to climate change resilience.
