Investment Design: Australia-Indonesia Climate and Sustainable Infrastructure Partnership

Summary

$650 million, 2026-2035

In this new phase of KINETIK, Australia continues to partner with Indonesia to deliver sustainable infrastructure, drive green economic growth, and support low emissions and climate resilient development. It will support the Government of Indonesia to achieve its objectives to access a broader mix of public, private, and climate finance to respond to growing infrastructure and climate resilience needs.

Built on the ongoing work of the current phase of KINETIK as well as the Indonesia-Australia Infrastructure Partnership (KIAT) and the Sustainable Infrastructure Assistance Program II (SIAP 2), the investment focuses on three core sectors for end-to-end engagement: clean energy transition; water, sanitation, and waste management; and sustainable transport. Two cross-cutting themes are implemented across all activities: gender, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI); and automation and digitalisation.
