The Australia Solomon Islands Program Support Facility Plus (ASIPS+) is a DFAT-funded facility that supports the Australian High Commission in Honiara to deliver development outcomes and strengthen Australia's partnership with Solomon Islands. Established in 2023, ASIPS+ provides flexible support for program delivery, strategic oversight, monitoring, evaluation and learning, and operational services across Australia's development portfolio in Solomon Islands.
The independent mid-term review of Phase 1 of ASIPS+ was conducted in 2026 to assess the facility's performance and inform DFAT decisions on future priorities, resourcing, and delivery arrangements. The review found that ASIPS+ remains fit for purpose and is successfully delivering the added value of its hybrid model, combining operational support with strategic oversight, quality programming, monitoring, evaluation and learning, and adaptive development delivery. ASIPS+ is on track to achieve both end-of-facility outcomes and has strengthened Australia's ability to respond to Solomon Islands Government priorities through a flexible and locally led approach.
The review highlights strong stakeholder confidence in the facility's responsiveness, partnership approach, and value for money. Recommendations focus on positioning the facility for continued success through enhanced systems and processes, strengthened learning and adaptation, and ensuring resources remain aligned with the portfolio's scale and ambition.
