Boundless is a season of contemporary dance by Canberra's Quantum Leap ensemble that recently toured to Thailand with the support of the Australia Thailand Institute. Eight QL2 dancers toured to Thailand for a contemporary dance exchange, doing development workshops, classes and performances with 13 dancers from Bangkok Dance Academy as part of the 'Boundless Dance Exchange'. They performed Cinders at Chulalongkorn University, alongside Atta, a work performed by Thai dancers and created by Lordfai Pachimsawat, who was an earlier QL2 exchange dancer. Meanwhile, four Thai dancers from Bangkok Dance Academy have joined the cast of Boundless in Australia.
"Boundless is a dance project that dares young people to go beyond the micro and widen their perspective of the world in which they live," says QL2 dramaturg Paschal Berry.
"Our 11-year connection with Thailand is strengthening dance in both countries, and building ongoing professional relationships among dance artists internationally."
The Boundless Dance Exchange is supported by the Australian Government through the Australia Thailand Institute of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
