Description

Maestro Zubin Mehta has invited the Australian World Orchestra (AWO) on a three city tour of India in October 2015. The AWO is an orchestra composed of Australia's finest musicians who play in the world's top orchestras, including Australia's own great state orchestras, who come together to perform electrifying concerts. The AWO performed concerts in Australia under the baton of Maestro Zubin Mehta in 2013. The 2015 AWO tour of India brings together 82 Australian musicians from orchestras such as the London Symphony and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestras, the Royal Concertgebouw and the Chicago Philharmonic. AWO's India tour includes concerts in Mumbai, Chennai, New Delhi and a multi-location education programme for underprivileged children.
