More than 5,450 Australian students will live, study and undertake work placements in the Indo-Pacific under the New Colombo Plan 2016 mobility round.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Minister for Education and training announced the outcomes of the New Colombo Plan 2016 mobility round on 24 July.
"The latest round of the New Colombo Plan mobility grants will send Australian undergraduate students to 28 different locations in the Indo-Pacific," Ms Bishop said.
"This will bring the total number of students funded by the New Colombo Plan to more than 10,000 in just the first three years of the program," Ms Bishop said.
