Project Description

An exchange program between organisations in Australia, Mexico and Peru significantly involved in Indigenous matters relating to cultural preservation and collections, Indigenous languages, Indigenous policy making, research and Indigenous community engagement.

The program will allow the sharing of experiences and advice on achievements, as well as lessons learned, to address some of the common goals and challenges facing Indigenous people. It will establish relationships that will build capacity and generate long term mutual benefits.

In particular these relationships will inform and support the Australian Government's priority for Indigenous Affairs, particularly in the areas of language preservation, protection and promotion of culture and direct capacity building within Indigenous communities.
